In October, National CASA will distribute a new radio public service
announcement (PSA) to support member CASA/GAL programs in recruiting
American Indian/Alaska Native volunteers. The innovative spot features
music, percussion and the voice of storyteller, artist and musician
Bunny Swan, a member of the Kenaitze tribe in Alaska. The PSA is part of
a larger diversity recruitment campaign funded by the Office Depot
Foundation that also includes radio ads in Spanish aimed at bilingual
individuals and an African-American spot featuring National CASA
spokesperson Judge Glenda Hatchett.

“What
has kept me excited about volunteer advocacy for the past 20+ years? It has been
seeing CASA volunteers in action in my courtroom, serving as the voice of
children, making a positive, lasting difference in their lives.”
