Jewelers for Children
Jewelers for Children (JFC)—the
industry organization of jewelry
retailers, manufacturers, watch
companies and trade associations—is
the leading private supporter of the
National CASA Association and its
member programs. Through its
Champions for Abused Children
Initiative, JFC has contributed
$5.3 million since 2003 to increase
the number of children served
nationally by CASA programs.
Providing Support for 3,667
Children in 336 Communities
In the last five years, Jewelers for
Children funds have provided
training and support to CASA/GAL
volunteers who advocated for 3,667
abused and neglected children in 336
communities nationwide. In 2008,
more than 70 local CASA/GAL programs
are receiving funds from a $1
million grant.
The support of Jewelers for Children
has significantly advanced National
CASA's vision of providing a CASA
volunteer for every abused and
neglected child who needs one. The
initiative also provides
opportunities for jewelry industry
members to volunteer to help abused
and neglected children.

Former Foster Youth Thanks
Jewelers
Former foster youth Kiaya Combs
(pictured with her CASA
volunteer Jane Hegstrom), thanked a
group of JFC members at
their recent Facets of Hope
event.
Thank you for giving me the
opportunity to speak for kids all
over the country whose lives are
better because of your support. It
was great getting to come to Las
Vegas to speak for National CASA
and to thank Jewelers for
Children. The best part was
getting to come with Jane, my CASA
volunteer, who has done so much
for me. I really got the feeling
that Jewelers for Children
understands the work that CASA
does, and it’s so great that they
support the work they do.
JFC is a nonprofit organization
created by the jewelry industry to
raise money for charities that
benefit children. As a result of the
hard work and generosity of JFC's
underwriters and other members of
the jewelry industry, Jewelers for
Children has distributed over $28
million to its recipient charities
since 1999.

and neglected children.
